    • SYJ Home Decor is a Trading Name used on our website which is fully operated by South Yorkshire Joinery Ltd
  2. Our Products
    • The images of our Products are for illustrative purposes. The colours and finished look of our products may vary. The colour reproduction of the products is a close representation of the true colour of the product; we cannot accept any responsibility for any variation in colour caused by the browser software or computer system used by you.
    • Our products are handmade of reclaimed timber and therefore may vary in size, texture, grain, knots, pigment, pattern, weight, dimensions and colour. The stains and dimensions shown in the description are approximates only and may vary.
    • Each product purchased is sold subject to its product description. We will take reasonable care to ensure that all details, descriptions and prices of products visible on the website are correct and relevant at the time of entry. Although we aim to keep the website up to date, the information including product descriptions appearing on this website at a time may not always reflect the product at the exact moment you place an order.
    • Our products are custom made and delivery time frames are given at our discretion. If there is a manufacturing delay, we will contact to inform you. Bespoke Items are not eligible for a refund unless there is a significant manufacturing error.
    • Natural Products are sold subject to slight colour variations, natural defect & movement.
    • The products will be packaged to allow suitable and safe transport. We have no responsibility of the disposal of the packaging.
    • Some products will require the customer to assemble the item. All screws or fixtures needed will be sent with the item. The customer will need a screwdriver/drill to assemble the item.
  3. Ordering Process
    • You can place orders by following the ordering process outlined on our website via the secure checkout method.
    • Successful order placement will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Completion of contract between you and South Yorkshire Joinery Ltd will take place on dispatch of the products ordered. In the unlikely event we are unable to fulfil your order, we will notify you as soon as possible.
    • Changes once orders have been placed but prior to manufacturing may be permitted on the discretion of South Yorkshire Joinery Ltd however this must be communicated to us prior to dispatch and manufacturing.
    • Once your order has been placed and following successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email of the order and confirm approximate delivery timelines. Please note this is likely to be between 3-4 weeks.
    • Once your order is dispatched you may receive an email by our Couriers with delivery information or a phone call directly from ourselves to organise a suitable time.
  4. Payments & Pricing
    • Our prices are in Great British Pound Sterling and include VAT and delivery unless otherwise stated on the website or during the check out process.
    • Payments for orders are made at checkout via a credit or debit card.
  5. Cancellations & Refunds
    • All orders can only be cancelled up to 24hrs after purchase. Returns and exchanges are not accepted, all orders are made bespoke to order and therefore we cannot accept returns.
    • Items that have been subject to mishandling resulting in an impact of the integrity of the product will not qualify for a full refund. We will assess the product on return and discuss a part refund with you or replace the damaged item.
    • All of our purpose made items are non refundable unless there is a manufacturing error.
    • Title of goods shall remain property of South Yorkshire Joinery until payment has been received in full.
    • South Yorkshire Joinery accept no liability for O&E (omission and errors) in the measuring or fitting of our products.
    • The company shall not be liable for consequential or indirect loss suffered by the customer whether this loss arises from breach of duty in contract or tort or in any other way (including loss arising from the companies negligence)
    • The companies total liability for any one claim or for the total of all claims arising from any one act or default of the company (whether arising from the companies negligence or otherwise) shall not exceed the contract price of the goods which are subject to the claim.
    • All shades available or pictured on our website may not 100% resemble the colour you chose, this could be, but not restricted to either your monitors screen resolution or picture brightness which is out of our control or where the photos on the website were taken (for example if table shown is in a window it may seem lighter if the sun is shining). Viewing samples in person at our workshop is advised.
  6. Delivery
    • All deliveries are made currently by ourselves however there may be instances that third parties are organised.
    • Where more than one item is ordered, South Yorkshire Joinery will endeavour deliver all items together unless stated otherwise.
    • For all orders someone over the age of 16 must be present at the property. Should you be unavailable for a delivery, it is your responsibility to contact us to notify us of your unavailability and we will aim to rearrange delivery to a suitable time.
    • Failed deliveries: If there is no one suitable to sign for delivery at the property at point of delivery, or you have misinformed us of your address or gaining access to your property is not possible for the courier to deliver we might be able to rearrange the delivery but please note additional charges may apply.

  7. Maintenance
    • It is your responsibility to maintain care for the furniture you order has been delivered. Aftercare suggestions are available on the item description.
    • We advise not leaving our products in indirect or direct sunlight and not next to sources of heat such as a radiator. This can cause colour variations or cause the timber to move.
